Multi cultural festival

Hi guys,
Today we went to the multi cultural festival, it was lots of fun.
I got some emu feathers in my hair and dad bought me a shell necklace just like his from the Solomon island people. I went on the bungee ride where you put on a harness with a bungee cord attached and you have to try and run as far as you can and put a marker where you get to.
For lunch I had some Dutch profiteroles with ice-cream and butterscotch sauce, it was delicious!!!!!
Grandma and Aunty Karen have come over to have steak and chips for dinner.

Can you see my emu feathers to try and my necklace.

Trifle

My trifle sunk after being in the fridge for a while but it still tastes good ;-)

Hello

Hi and welcome to our new blog.
We hope you enjoy reading about all of our adventures.
It's Saturday today and it's beautiful looking out at the ocean. Last night I made a delicious trifle for desert and I can't wait to finish eating it today. We're all so excited about our big trip to Europe, it's less than a month away!!! Tomorrow is the Bundaberg multi-cultural festival and I'm really excited about helping mum out with her stall.

p.s. here's the recipe for the trifle I made.

Ingredients:
1 sponge cake cut up into cubes
600ml of custard
300ml of cream
1 cup of apple juice
1 tsp of strawberry jam
2 tbsp of icing sugar
as many strawberries as you want

Method:
Mix together the apple juice and the strawberry jam and then brush it onto the sponge cake cubes with a pastry brush. Lay a few sponge cake cubes in a big bowl so that they cover the bottom part. Then chop up your strawberries to the size that you like and put some of them on top of the sponge cake and then pour some of the custard on top. Then keep adding more sponge cake, strawberries and custard until you either run out or get to the top of the bowl. Next whip your cream with the 2 table spoons of icing sugar and spread it on the top of the trifle. If you want to add a few more strawberries on the top and dust with icing sugar before serving. Enjoy!
